Sean Greygoose

Following a competitive recruitment process, Cambridge United are pleased to announce that Sean Greygoose has been appointed as the new Head Coach of the Women’s First Team...

For the past two years, Sean has overseen the Club’s Under 18s programme and has played a significant role in the development of the Club’s future talent. During his time in the role, the team achieved two top-three finishes in the league and reached a County Cup final. Several of his Under 18 players also featured heavily in last season's County Cup success.

Sean will commence the role with immediate effect, whilst continuing to support the Under 18s, with a new Under 18s Head Coach to be appointed in due course.

"I am really looking forward to getting started and working with all the players, the staff and the Club," Sean said.

"It’s an exciting time for Cambridge United and we want to build on and continue the progression of the Women’s team. I have really enjoyed my time working with the younger players and I believe that there is a genuine pathway at the Club."

Speaking about the appointment, Chair of the Women’s Board, Gisela Otten stated, "Sean is a highly qualified coach and knows the Club inside out, having previously worked in the Youth Development department and overseen the Under 18’s.

"We have been impressed by his calm leadership and know he will bring a well-defined footballing philosophy and a strategic vision for helping us realise our ambitions.

"With the new season on the horizon, Sean will bring fresh energy and direction as we enter the next phase of the development of the Women’s First Team."
