The 33-year-old left-back has worked under Neil Harris at both Millwall and Gillingham, and now reunites with his former boss at United.
A product of the Wolves academy, Malone is best known for his spells at Millwall, Cardiff, Fulham and Derby County, having played the majority of his career (316 appearances) in the Championship.
Malone won't be involved in tonight's game against Stevenage, having only signed earlier this afternoon, but will join up with his new teammates on Thursday. He will wear squad number 33 whilst with the U's.
