EACH partnership raises over £5000

Cambridge United would like to thank East Anglia's Children's Hospices after an extremely successful season-long partnership during which we - with the generous support of our fans - have raised a total of over £5,000 for children and families in need of hospice care across the local community...

The partnership saw two dedicated EACH matchdays, one of which saw players support the cause wearing EACH sponsored shirts; a hugely successful auction; Marvin the Moose's Epsom Derby Race and two visits to EACH in Milton from players and staff to meet children and families.

Cambridge United Head of Commercial, Neil Rowe said, "We thank East Anglian Children's Hospice for their invaluable partnership with Cambridge United this season.

"Chosen by our fans in a poll led by Principal Partners BrewBoard last year, the charity has fostered a genuine relationship with the Football Club.

"The fundraising team has demonstrated unwavering dedication, braving all weather conditions on matchdays with buckets and smiles to raise awareness and critical funds for the cause.

"In a short time, we have witnessed firsthand the dedication and compassion each member of the EACH staff brings to their role. We look forward to continuing our collaboration to further develop this partnership."

EACH's Senior Corporate Fundraiser, Samantha Woo, added, "It has been an honour to be Cambridge United Football Club’s chosen charity for the 2024/25 season. The U’s have been fantastic supporters of East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices (EACH), both on-and-off the pitch.

"A few personal highlights include watching the 4-1 win against Shrewsbury, while all the players proudly wore the EACH logo on their shirts, and the joy brought to the children when the players came to visit our Milton hospice at Christmas.

"We truly appreciate all the support through fundraising, of course, but also raising awareness of the vital work EACH does, helping us reach more families across East Anglia when they need us most!"

We would like to thank our fans, and particularly CUFC Lottery, for their generous donations across the season, BrewBoard for forgoing their front of shirt sponsorship and of course, EACH, for their great dedication to the partnership.

Details on the Club's search for next seasons' Charity Partner will be released in the coming weeks.
